A new standard in sustainable production

Since 9 September 2025, Hamat has been producing our entrance mats with a backing made from 50% recycled content PVC. This means that half of the material used in the backing consists of recycled raw materials. For some of our product lines, we go even further: mats from the Aquastop, Natuflex and Universal collections are produced with 60% recycled content PVC.

Our product labels and identification cards now also show this as “50% recycled Content PVC”. This makes it immediately clear to everyone that sustainability at Hamat is not just a goal, but an integral part of our production process.

A step further towards circular production

This development is part of our broader sustainability strategy: working step by step towards reduced use of virgin raw materials and greater use of recycled materials. It is an important milestone in our ambition to produce more sustainably, without compromising on quality, appearance or durability.

We continue to invest in innovation, so that every product that leaves our factory in Genemuiden contributes to a smaller ecological footprint.
